Monk Saves Dogs

A Chinese monk by the name of Zhi Xiang has devoted his life to rescuing and finding homes for stray dogs in his province of Shanghai. Since 1994, this one man has spent a large portion of his own time and his own money feeding, caring, and supporting the local strays. Working out of a Buddist monastery Zhi has spent countless hours in his pursuit to find forever homes for his furry little friends. His efforts have not gone unnoticed. There has been a social media push to help him with his mission and many people have donated money in order to help. With the help of donations from all over the world Mr. Xiang's rescue operation has grown to a massive operation spending more than 2 million a year.
